A new addition.

Yes, I'm fully aware that I probably shouldn't have done this with the way my finances have been, but it was so lonely...and why shouldn't I give yet another folder a good home?

I don't think I'm going to be disappointed.

Appears to be in good shape, and the price was right. Hope it works well for you.

I've been wanting to add a 6x9 folder for a while...but I couldn't find one that I liked. Then this one showed up out of nowhere and I decided that it was the folder for me. I left it to fate, though...my max bid on the thing was $15 and I wasn't going to go any higher.

That was a daring act, Stephanie. Now you have the camera you need for those Colorado landscapes!

Yup! Should be fun. I'm in the process of trying to decide on a color film that won't cost me an arm and a leg to get in 120 size...do they make Superia in 120? :P

@ stephanie... unfortunately they do make it in 120! Maybe you could see if there is interest in having a '6x9 folder' salon after you get going. I have a couple of folders that don't see enough use (6x6 and 6x9) and need a reason to show them some daylight.

Should be a nice 6x9. A Compur shutter with a good, fast, cooke triplet lens. At that age, the glass will be uncoated but OTOH, the bellows will still be real leather (and hence in good shape) rather than the disintegrating synthetics later used. It's probably going to need to have the Agfa green glue^h^h^h^h lubricant cleaned out, but that shouldn't be too difficult with lighter fluid.

Good score at a great price. Now that's the way to burn E-6

Edit: Reala is made in 120. It's glorious on old glass... be sure you have someplace that will print 6x9 though. All I've found in Madison is one place will contact print a roll for $10.

Great...Reala...my new favorite color film. I said stuff that WON'T cost me an arm and a leg.

Seriously, though, I'm happy. I should have a decent kit to take with me to Colorado without spending the high dollar on a large format...I'll save the money I would have spent on that to spend on film and my M2 next year.

See if you can find out of date Kodak Portra 160VC - that should be a good compromise between cost and quality.

Heh...this is probably going to get me flamed...

I don't shoot Kodak color film. Never liked it, really. I can get Fuji 35mm cheaper than Kodak. I like how Fuji renders colors more than Kodak.

I'll spend money on some Reala...and eat the most likely tremendous cost of processing it.

Flame ON!!!

heh - no worries. I have been enormously impressed with the 160VC, but there are many fine Fuji films I like too. I used to burn through NPH and Portra a few years ago.
