Dear fellow members,

I have just bought a new toy.
It is a Nikon 35ti.
Does this clasify as a rangefinder or as a P&S?

Not a rangefinder, but it's a very nice camera.

Both. It is an electronic rangefinder as it uses triangulation to determine object distance - if I remember clearly, the rangefinder/AF sensor windows are above the lens. It is a P&S as it is fully automated.

If you have to ask, it isn't a rangefinder.

Of course, some people would call a Contax T3 an RF - which it is not.

But a Contax T most definitely is.
