Thumbs up Another RFF giveaway !

We have a winner!

I'm sorry I can't give a gift to everyone especially now at Christmas. But I am glad to announce that we do have a winner. And that winner is enjoying a Christmas in summer Stu

It's a great time of the year for a giveaway. Since everyone has been so kind to RangeFinderForum, RFF is giving away a brand new .....

Omega/LPL 14x17 easel (11" x14" using blades)
- Four independent ultra-flat blades
- Self-locking blade actuators
- All-metal construction
- Low, compact profile design
- Masking assembly automatically locks in open (up) position
- Masking assembly is removable leaving a single-size 14" x 17"

to one lucky member,

The catch .....

You need to do your own prints.
You need to tell someone else how great RFF is.
You need to be happy with what you have.

Merry Christmas to all.

Oh, yes .....

The drawing will be on Christmas eve.

Merry Christmas to all.
I've been telling to many people how great RFF is.
I'm happy with what I have (Just yesterday I heard that my wife and daughter can collect their visa for Holland).
I don't do my own prints.

So, indeed, merry Xmas to y'all, and that some other member will be the lucky winner.

Jorge, you're too good for us.

congratulations (for the visa thing)

I saw your images in an other thread, and imho you should try to do your own prints (nice shots and a good eye for things). When are the next images ready to show us?

Thanks 24x30. Thanks, rover.

24x30, Thanks for the compliments. I'm smiling and glowing now.
About the printing, sometimes I wish I had the skill, the time, the space and the finances to do my own printing. But I don't have any of them. The step is simply too big. Even going the inkjet way seems quite daunting and expensive to me.

Jorge, it's a nice thing... However, i have to turn you down again...You can remove me from the hat (if I ever was there, hehh).

Remy...that's great to hear. I wish you lots of luck through the maze of the Dutch (EU?) Bureaucracy, 0900-1234561. Don't worry, I've already wounded the Minotaur

Well, I definitely recommended you, and I can prove it:

http://www.leica-camera.com/discus/m...tml?1103292988

This is a post in Leica's own forum :-)))

And, oh yes, I am happy with my M6 plus 21/35/50/75mm, with my Focomat V35 with Splitgrade and my Ilford 2150 processor.... but my easel needs to be replaced as it is too small, and I really, really will be in the darkroom between christmas and new year all the time except some walks outside using my Leica... :-)

Can I enter my 15yr old daughter

She started taking photography this year at school, and has fallen in love with it. I just bought her a Omega D2 enlarger for Christmas and have been scouring eBay for all the other associated parts. Still trying to dig up a safe light, easel, trays, timer, etc.

I may have had somewhat of a selfish motivation for choosing the D2, since it also does medium format and 4x5 negs, even though she only owns a 35mm.

What a nice thing to do! Dont give it to me however as I'm not making my own prints right now and I've got a print frame already(packed in a box waiting for me to get a bigger place so i can setup my darkroom again)
RML: that is WONDERFUL news to hear!!!!
Happy holidaze, Rob

Sweet; I'd certainly be happy to give it a good home. I'm in the process of setting up my home darkroom and haven't bought one yet. So ...

To do your own prints, no special skills necessary, for the time just use the nights , for the space there should be a bathroom at your home just the money could be a problem ... I sell some lenses at the moment to pay another head for my enlarger ... but I need more power

Sorry for highjacking the thread ...

Hello Jorge, what a wonderful gift! I do all of my own printing- have been since 1970. All I print is B&W. Once again it really is a nice gift.

ouaa you are so king Jorge as so many people on this great forum !!!
As many, I'm not yet equiped for dark room processing as my flat bathroom is tiny.
But I'm sure the winner will be someone who deserves it, as all of you are so welcoming and tolerant.

By the way, I'm happy for you Remy, it's a great Xmas gift to be with you wife and kid. My girlfriend is away from studying in south of France and this makes life more boring. Maybe that helped this need of coming back to photo and buying on ebay all those gears I did not really needed.

I wish you all a merry Xmas and all the best.

Laurent

24x30, you obviously haven't seen my house. It's too tiny for a bathroom darkroom. And the nights... hmmm, I go to bed by 11 pm and get up at 4.45 am. That's about as little sleep as I can handle.

Laurent, I know the feeling: I'm certain I wouldn't have bought at least half of the FED's, Zorkis and lenses if my wife and girl would have been here with me. But they compensate by making me buy clothes and shoes for them when we're together.
