My birthday is coming up soonish and I decided that I would try out a LOMO LC-A this year. I found a factory sealed LOMO LC+A RL for less than retail and I bought it. The camera arrived and I already have it loaded with Ektar 100 and I am rarin' to start shooting some pictures. Now if the weather would give us a break from the 112 F temps!

Yes, film camera do bring attention and start conversations, especially from people who have used them in the past . Digicams and DSLRs are so passe.. you see everyone around with one in hand or on their shoulders.

This came in the afternoon

The camera was delivered on the same day as my filter set.
The camera seems to be in good condition.
Lens, shutter and film advance all look great.
Time for a test roll!

My Second Folding 35

The parcel delivery dropped off my Zeiss Ikon Contessa 35 folding rangefinder camera the other day.
The shutter is a little sticky and I'll be sending it to New Zealand for a CLA soon.
The mail lady delivered the Zeiss Filter and hood set the next day.

I recently bought two Minolta SLR's on Ebay, after reading some great reviews of vintage equipment and lenses.

The lenses showed up in record time, but the bodies took a while. One was in transit from the UK to the Netherlands for almost three weeks! Geez...

So, here's the 1977 Minolta XG-1 and 1983 X-500 / X-570. Both fitted with 50's. First one loaded with Tmax 100, second Agfa Precisa slide.

I'll spare you the picture because it's not sexy, but: First ever bottle of Rodinal (Adonal, technically). And several rolls of Adox CHS 50. (Much 25 already in the frigo.) I'm stoked to go shoot something/anything this weekend and soup it in this most classic of developers.

Nothing very sexy, but very useful.
Yesterday I received a screw -on hood for my Nikon 135 3.5 rangefinder lens.
$11.00 from KEH, a bargain at twice the price!

A set of Leica M mount body caps and rear lens caps (2x each)

A new Paterson 3 roll developing tank to replace one that got broken in storeage.

It would be a very dull picture of my last "treasure" that came in the mail. Fifteen rolls of 120 Fuji Acros. I keep watching the price of film go up and just thought I'd better hurry up and get at least a few rolls now.

Weird . I only receive newspapers, not counting the occasional bill. I must be doing something wrong.

That Contessa looks so fine.
