New beamsplitter

This deals with a IIIf so if it is in the wrong forum please move it. I just got my IIIf back from DAG after having the beamsplitter replaced and Don appears to have done an excellent and timely job especially considering it had to cross the border twice. It is a pleasure to be able to focus it again. I took the cure and am happy I did.

What a world of difference it makes. I replaced the beamsplitter in my IIIf about 12 years ago, could not part with the camera after doing it.

All I have to do now is get the IIIc overhauled/beamsplitter replaced and the Contax II overhauled and shutter ribbon replaced. It will be nice to get the oldies running at 100% again, but it will take time.

I started getting my receipts back from Essex Camera in New Jersey placing me in the dealer catagory. I have sent them about 8 repair jobs in the last 18 months.

I am hoping not to get to the dealer catagory stage , much too much expense. Besides the better half would have a thing or two to say.
