EBAY purchases

I've found a Bessa R2 on ebay for just over $200 US in Near mint.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

This seems extra-ordinarily cheap...

Does anyone here buy off ebay?

We all (mostly) buy and sell off eBay. I think this camera is being sold by one of our members so you should feel comfortable bidding on it.

Also keep in mind that the price could go up quite a bit before the auction closes. It's likely to happen in the final 5 seconds of the auction. It's termed "sniping" and has become almost SOP.

And the reserve price hasn't been met yet. I've seen R2's go for ALMOST the price of a brand-new R3a.

Yes, its one of the RFF members here. Namely me You can feel very comfortable with the cameras visual and working condition. It truely is near mint and works perfectly. I'm only selling because I ordered the R3a for its AE, metered manual, and 1:1 finder.

The price will go up, especially in the last hour of the aution. If its anything like the others I've seen, I would expect it sell around $425 or so based on its condition and the fact that new ones are no longer easy to find, if found at all.
