Tony Rose of popflash

Just received a 2nd-hand new-version Elmar 50/2.8 from Tony. Talk about a great guy to deal with! Everything was handled perfectly. As to the lens itself - well if Tony hadn't listed it as 2nd hand I wouldn't have known it wasn't brand-spanking-new!

A very good buying experience, indeed.

Wow! Ordered two rolls (bulk) of the Neopan 1600, next morning Dirk said it was out of stock, did I want to hold the order? Said go for it, and two days later it was shipped. Received it today, a week later (even with the wrong address!). Thanks Dirk!

Thumbs up

Users:
mjflory. I said I "would happily deal with again" and I have; he bought my Kneb camera. Paid quickly and communicates pleasantly and clearly.
Brian Sweeney. Decided to adopt a Zorki that needed a new home. Very smooth transaction. Well done!
Jan Normandale. Fast payment from the 18th century( ) and a joy to deal with. Thanks, Jan!
kwijybow. Knew what he wanted, asked good questions and paid promptly.
Another good experience for me.
Gentlemen,
Thank you all for helping me clear out some of my redundant gear!
Happy to have done a deal with each of you and would do so again.
Best regards,
Rob

RFF'er Rob Biemer, we have done business previously and once again, Rob confirmed he's a fine RFF member to do trade with. Thanks for the Fed! Wow.. original box, instructions, and a pristine case for the camera. Sweet!

RFF member 'thelovecollect' / David.. we went thru some amazing gymnastics with the mail system and David was patient. It got resolved and he has his $$ and I have my film. Thanks David

BTW I may put up a thread on this one. My letter was returned by customs requiring 'a declaration be put on the envelope' !! First time for everything. I'm still holding the envelope for further deliberation.

Item: Hoya vented lens hood

Akira provided just the item I was after and was very easy to deal with (and obviously knows his way around these kinds of transactions). Communication was great - he even sent me a photo of the package he mailed, before posting it.

COMMENT: Bought a lens from him that was indistinguishable from new, very well tended and modestly described. Always good to be pleasantly surprised! Also shipped securely and quickly. Excellent transaction, excellent seller.

FWIW this is my first look into this thread...

Backalley/ Joe.. the ubiquitous and world reknowned RFF mod. I bought a light meter from Joe. Used a Canadian bank internet debit like Paypal but without the Paypay issues. He got his $$ and put the meter in his nemisis delivery mode.. Canada Post , 5 days later I'm a happy boy. So you see Joe the postal guys arent that bad , at least when my name is on the package :- )

Comment: I had the pleasure to buy a Brian Sweeney'd J-8 from Marc, whom I warmly recommend to any future buyer. It was an exemplary transaction, with fast, helpful communications, excellent packing and even the post office doing their part - 6 days (including the Easter weekend/holiday) from Canada to the UK. And no customs fees

A real pleasure! Thankyou Marc!

All the best, Ian

Wow, that was a fast delivery!

Ian is a terrific buyer. I recommend him unreservedly to other sellers. It is a pleasure to deal with someone who communicates and pays so promptly. And it is really gratifying to know that my lens has found such a great home.
