Unhappy BRB.. in a month!

I'm leaving for Germany in a few hours. All the preparations have been so hectic I kan't even spiell!

A great deal of this week was spent grading exams, then doing the things you do before a trip (stopping the newspaper, mail delivery, checking funds availability, writing checks to pay bills in advance...). And now, when I thought I'd enjoy the packing... my knees are shaking!

No matter how much I enjoy vacationing (whenever I do it, which isn't often), I still hate traveling! The airport, checking papers, tickets, security, wondering whether I forgot something... it's a major mess. I certainly enjoy whenever the trip is over and I'm finally at my destination. Just the prospect of so much stress makes me want to stay.

Besides, I'll miss this forum and the people who keep it going.

But life must go on. I'll come back in a month... and will be back the trip is finally over again!

Until then... Y'all take care!

Joe, do you want me to keep an eye open for a 'cron 40? A Rokkor perhaps? I have a short list of camera stores with "browsable inventories"...

Relax a bit. The ticket/papering hassles are just "givens".

You are embarking on a "most excellent adventure".

So, bring back pics! Lots of pics!

Alright... I never sleep well the night before a trip and last night was no exception. However, after ironing a lot of stuff, I'm ready at last. My case is packed, and I'm carrying a total of 44 rolls of film (in Costa Rica I ran out and decided never to skimp on the stuff, even if I have to bring back unexposed rolls; better have it and not need it...). My Lowepro AW 5 is roomy enough for all my gear plus a few personal things.

My wife is now planning on looking for an internet cafe once on the other side of the Atlantic. Who knows... I may report to you guys soon!

So long!
