Mamiya announces 50mm f/4.5 L Lens for M7

Mamiya 50mm f/4.5 L Lens
ELMSFORD, NY:
Mamiya America Corp. announced the introduction of the extra-wide 50MM F/4.5 lens for the Mamiya 7 System.

Now available for the best multi-format, and only interchangeable lens 6 x7 rangefinder system is a 50MM F/4.5 extra-wide angle lens for the Mamiya 7 II and Mamiya 7 bodies. This spectacular new image-making tool is a compliment to the famous ultra-wide 43mm f/4.5 and expands the system’s array of critically sharp world-class lenses to its present total of five.

The 50MM F/4.5 is the equivalent of a 24mm lens in the 35mm format, and fits very neatly into the space between the 43mm f/4.5 and the 65mm f/4, covering an 84° angle of view already made incredibly popular by 35mm shooters. The same optical design that has proven breathtaking in the ultra-wide realm for the 43mm f/4 provides high performance in a compact configuration. Indeed, snappy contrast and high resolution are reality across the entire aperture range, as is true with the other four lenses. By taking advantage of the short flange focal distance, Mamiya maintains simplicity and high performance. The 50MM F/4.5’s portable and compact design frees the user from bulky accessories and heavy gadget bags. An external finder with built-in Spirit-Level and Diopter Adjustment comes with the 50MM F/4.5, and fits onto the accessory shoe on the Mamiya 7 II and Mamiya 7. This finder is used for composition, and is aided by the in-finder view of the Spirit Level.
