Noctilux as a normal lens

I have recently seen some daylight shots made with a Noctilux lens. They were seen on the web and the quality seemed quite good even though they were taken at apertures smaller than f 1.0.
Does anyone use this lens as an all around lens??
I have seen posts about this subject on other sites, but I would really appreciate comments from real users, not just a technical explanation.

Thanks for the reply. The review has made my decision even harder. If the lens was just usable at f 1.0, it wouldn't be all that tempting. However, the review makes a case for using it other f stops.

At f1.0 you are never really going to get stellar performance compared to if you stopped down the lense. But usable can mean many things. To some it is unusable, to others it is very much so. All depends on how much you crop and you enlarge.

I've been trying an exercise to see if I'd use the Noct.'- I've been using a couple 50's wide open- to see if I could even use the Noct. in composition. I'm not yet ready to buy one, but in a few months, I might be able to do it.

So far, it's a Kiev-4 (who's lens is known as being nice, but soft at 1.4) and a Canon FTb(N) with the normal 1.4... We'll see. It's *hard* to keep 'em wide open! Too much light without ND filter.
