Three hours in Jersey - what to do?

I'm flying to Newark, N.J. tomorrow to attend a conference at Seton Hall. I wasn't smart enough to book an extra nights stay so I'd have a day to spend in New York, so I'm left with about three or four free hours on Saturday before I have to catch my flight. At this point I'm inclined to visit the Newark Museum which will be only a few blocks away. Any suggestions for other intersting things to do in Newark in such little time?

Steve

I go to Jersey fairly regularly for work, Newark is the place you just pass thru as rapidly as possible. I'm sure SOMEBODY will have a good word to say for Newark, but unfortunately it isn't me!
There are some pretty good Portuguese restaurants just down the road from Newark Penn station.

hope you find something to do there.

cheers...

I would check to see if there is anything at Seton Hall to do and fill a couple hours. Hmmm, how close is the Yogi Barra Museum?

Are you a baseball fan? It may not be that far, but traveling in this area can be a difficult thing. Keep that in mind.

Good luck.

I appreciate the replies. Hopefully I'll find something interesting to photograph in what few daylight hours I'll have free. I'm taking my new (to me) CV Bessa R and 25 Skopar and 35 Ultron out for the first time so at least I'll have a new toy to keep me company.

Thanks,
Steve

IRONBOUND.

Go to the Ironbound. Have lunch at Sagres. Drink Sagres Beer or another great Portuguese beer. Have the fish or seafood.

Then afterwards go to "Riviera" and have coffee (an espresso, also called "uma bica") and a typical Portuguese pastry, a "Pasteis de nata (de Belem)"

That particular neighborhood is a favorite of mine. If you feel, go to the market and buy a cheese.
