Talking Brian's Advice Works!!

After reading Pherdinand's post about getting sniped on eBay, I also took note of Brian's advice (two screens, place a last minute bid and keep an eye on the item).

It worked!

But then, I won uncontested.

Nifty price for a nifty lens: a Nikon AF 24-85 Silent and Internal Focusing with Extra-low Dispersion glass for $178.50. It retails new at $359 (before the $50 rebate).

So, this is a public thanks for Brian for his tip. It works!

Now, back to my work. Today, a "Dear John" letter from a publisher. Such is life! You win some, and lose some...

Sorry about your Dear John letter. Hopefully the next publisher you send it to will be more receptive. Hopefully, the day after you make the deal of a lifetime with the next publisher, the first will call to offer you half and you can laugh long and loud at them.

I'm glad to hear it!

That is a great price. I used a 28~85 for a longtime, until it got traded as part of a package for the S4.

But PLEASE don;t forget about the Leica. When you have more time, we'll nail that leak down!
