I will be so PROUD this week!

Hi, I am new here and the reason why I am here, is beacause I NEED to share something, and this seems like the perfect place!
Here (in Holland) you never see a Yashica Electro 35 CC for sale and last week I saw two, almost at the same time, from different sellers! The mailman should bring me both of them this week, because I bought both of them ;-) They are my first Yashica rangefinder camera's.

YESSSSS

O yes, my real name is Willem (which is the Dutch equivalent of William)

Willem,
Congratulations. The 35 CC is very sought after, and finding two in a week is one of those lucky events that comes along ever-so rarely.

Enjoy the cameras, post the results. We have a thread on showing off pictures taken with Yashica's.

Slowly cornering the CC world market, one country at a time that is. Good going.

If I find a scanner, I will certainly post some results (as soon as I decide which one I am going to use and which one is going te be nurtured for future grandchildren ;-) One of them seems used, so I think I will use that one. The other one is as new and comes with all the original things, like cap, hood and even manual.)

O yes, does the CC have the POD that I keep hearing about? Or is that only in the G-series?

I do not know the answer to that. If "greyhoundman" does not see this thread, post a thread asking about the workings of the 35 CC. He'll See That!

Oh no!!!! Does it happen very often that it needs replacing?
And what are the symptoms when it does need replacing? The seller says that the camera functions perfectly, so I am hoping he tested it well...

Ofcourse, on the day I expect the mailman, I will be waiting with some rolls of Tri-X. And the Rodinal will be fresh!

Congrats Willem,
I would love to have my hands on a CC as well.
