Vertcal streaks

Hello. My last batch of photos has a white vertical band from top to bottom and It also shows on the negative. In sunlight it shows up as a discoloration and in low light shots I can see a white band clearly.
The girl developing said that It looks like I opened the film compartment.

Anyone else experience this on their Yashica? Any ideas what might be causing this?

Sure sounds like a light leak, at the hinge end probably. Is the mark slightly right of the center of the frame?

Have you replaced the light seals, or are they original?

on this last batch I noticed it on the left right and center. Sometimes its red and sometimes it's white.

I'm going to shoot another roll to see if I can characterize it a little better.

I am having the same problem, mine happens on the left side. I think it is the light seals because the longer I waited to take the next shot the more I could see it. It didn't happen on every frame because I shot a few right after another leaving no time to get light inside and expose the film.
