bessa r problems is it worth it?

Hello everyone! I am new to this site I like it very much. I have a question regarding my bessa r. some time ago I dropped it wich knocked the range finder out of whack, in my stupidity instead of sending it back to cameraquest i tried to fix it my self, wich as expected it really!!!!!! made it go out way out. now I have been thinking of getting it fixed, I really love the camera its great, now would it be worth it to attemp to repair it or should it just get a new one, they are about $249.00. please help.

if it's a simple adjustment, i don't believe it's that pricey to fix.
if it's more than that it would depend on the cost.

send it to gandy and have him provide an estimate before proceeding with any repairs. or give him a maximum amount that he can then proceed with.

oh and by the way, welcome to our humble site.

Or call Gandy, or Photo Village in NYC and discuss the problem and cost of the repair. My impression is that Steve Gandy's repair prices are a little high, but perhaps I am wrong. I think it is worth it to comparison shop before you make a decision though.

Oh it's a terrible, horrible, problem and I just can't see someone suffer with that. Just send it to me and I'll see that it's put out of it's misery appropriately...

What ?

No, HBC has to keep his camera and get it fixed, we need to see more "kids pictures" in his gallery.
