Brand new Stereo ZEISS IKON

At www.aphog.de you can read my report about the brand new ZEISS IKON Stereo-Camera. Unfortunately, it's in German language only.

It's a nice solid piece of camera built in co-operation with ZEISS and RBT-Raumbildtechnik in Esslingen/Germany.

Cheers
Wolf

Here's a direct link to the article. Nice piece of equipment, made from a regular Zeiss Ikon and a rangefinderless Zeiss Ikon SW body, with distance and aperture rings are linked through a system of levers, so that both lenses use identical settings.

Of course, they wasted the opportunity of creating a camera with a really huge rangefinder base

To say the truth I was looking for a M6 but the problem is that I can hardly find it new or close to new here in Russia.

I am a working news photographer, and a newbie RF'er. I just bought a Zeiss Contax lla in great shape and have a ZI in my sights down the line. I know what Mike's day job entails; when you're in the news business it's non-stop.
I stumbled on his blog through google, and his Contax pages took a big chunk out of finding my way around the camera. So, I went on to check out his ZI blog...kudos to him for taking the time to do that for us after a day at the office!
BTW Mike, you could be a news photographer; it's just the same as being a street shooter at the end of the day.
