Olympus 35dc ?

Anyone using one of these?
Saw one in very nice condition in my local photo shop.
Appears to have more of a program mode with a
back light compensation button...
Lens appears to be 6 element F1.7...

I have one :-)

Only put one roll of film through it.

It's a 'fairly' rare Olympus 35-camera and has some unique quirks such as it only works in auto-exposure mode. The camera came out in the early 70's and sports - on my version - a pretty bright rangefinder.

You're right in that the lens is an F.Zuiko lens (6 elements) at 40/1.7 - it's the same lens that later was used on the 35RD camera. It's a great lens but somewhat soft wide open.

There are mercury free, modern battery options as well so the camera is still very useable.

Perfect focus-and-shoot camera

I've had a few - and I still have two for parts laying around.

Basically, a 35RD without the manual override. Backlight compensation button adds a stop and a half. Has one benefit over the 35RD - the shutter blades are much less likely to stick as a result of the lens ring dampening grease leaking in. Good camera if you don't mind AE-only.

Checked Ebay and only found one in England that sold for
about $88 us. Must not be too common... Yes it has a nice
viewfinder on it...more research needed before I buy it.
