Help on Protek Trading Company
Hello,
I bought a Zorki 4 on ebay, after reading about them here. I'm trying to send a Travelers Express Money Gram. The seller says to send it to Protek Trading Company in San Pedro, CA. I can't seem to find out who to put down as "Pay to the order of" on the money order - is it the seller or is it Protek? Has anyone used this service before?

I just bought a Fed 2 through Protek. I paid with Paypal but the instructions they sent to me said to make money orders out to Protek:
3) USA Money orders, personal checks. Make this form of payment out to: Protek Trading Company
Mail your payment to:
Protek Trading Company
P.O. Box 484
San Pedro, CA 90733
USA Please, send the item number(s) you have won and my nickname (ASR-Photo)
with your payment. Best regards
Alex

My understanding is that many Russian and Ukrainian traders have US partners that handle payments for them. Presumably this is to overcome restrictions with electronic transactions in their countries. I have had many items from many FSU traders and not had a problem with transactions. The only slight hiccup was one parcel was opened by customs as part of a random drugs search.
