Nikon F100 Deal - US behind UK

The recent thread about Nikon narrowing it's film SLR production to just the FM10 and F6 was based on a press release on the "Nikon UK" website.

There has not yet been a similar press release on the "Nikon USA" website.

From much to much eBay browsing over the years, I have come to learn that the seller below is a "regular" eBay seller that has a "close" relationship to Nikon USA.

[You might note that the seller and Nikon USA are both located near each other.]

I think there may be a "closeout" going on here in the US before they "announce" the end of Prosumer and F100 film SLR availability:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Nikon-F100-SLR-C...QQcmdZViewItem

I don't "need" another F100, but thought I'd pass this along for those who are interested.

USUAL DISCLAIMERS: I HAVE NO CONNECTION TO NIKON, NIKON USA, THE E-BAY SELLER WHO'S LISTING IS LINKED ETC. ETC.

I thought the F100 had been discontinued for years? At least in Europe that was the case.

Aaah, now it all makes sense and I feel like an idiot. At least I've lost my 'replying to a dead thread in an internet forum' virginity

You almost got me, when you replied, it brought it all to the front of the line.

F100's are a much better price now though. ;-)

Have talked to the dead a few times myself.
