60's Minolta Pocket Rangefinder

In the late 60's a friend of mine had a 35mm Minolta rangefinder with a 50mm (I think) fixed collapsable lens, and a leaf shutter (I think).

It wasn't Leica grade, but was of solid metal contruction and reeked of quality. It was a true pocket camera.

Anybody know what I'm talking about?

Hi,

take a look here:

http://members.aol.com/manualminolta/minfind.htm

maybe you'll find the camera there. BTW, I didn't remember that Minolta made Screw Leica copies too, but it seems they did...

I did a bit of research ande it appears that:

a) it was interchangeable Leica screwmount, NOT fixed lens and

b) not a leaf shutter but a Leica style focal plane.

So there are TWO errors in my original post!!!!

So much for 35 year old memories!!!!!!

Cool

And it seems you can even live those moments again...

http://www.keh.com/shop/SHOWPRODUCT....&ISPRICE=299.0

But surely not cheaply, and that "for display only" seems a bit suspicious...
