D800 Nikon USA Refurb $2299

Just pulled the trigger on one of these from Adorama. Best price I have seen yet for a Nikon USA D800 with warranty.

They do not show to be out of them yet...

Cheers!

Tom

I did see that, it's an amazing price for that camera. Won't see them come down to that price new for another 6-8 months. I'm very happy with my D700 for now but it is very tempting. Bob.

D800 arrived late last night, UPS was at the door at 8:30 p.m.! Poor guys are working late!!!

Playing with it with a 85/1.8AF Nikkor in the back yard this morning. Just WOW, so far...

And it seems to be working with no left focus issue or green lcd issue so far.

Yeah, I was eyeballing that yesterday. Very tempting. Maybe it's time to sell off a bit of Leica gear.

Does it smell new?
I think I might be tempted enough to buy one very soon...

I put a new Sigma 50/1.4 DG HSM on it for a few shots now. Still a WOW! - and I'm not sure but I think it smells new now, definitely smells better than a new car!

It is almost seamless moving back and forth from the F6 to the D800 and back. Within reason....

I may have a massive Minolta manual focus sell-off soon, to finance more Nikkor glass. I can't seem to see well enough to focus manually correctly anymore, and I did not realize it until I saw how well the Nikon AF is working. Think I'll keep the Maxxum 9 and 7 though. I gotta think about this.
