| Digital Leica M8 / M8.2 / M9 / M-E /Mono / M10 aka "M" Discussions about the Leica M8 /M 8.2 / M9 / M9-P/ M-E / M Monochrom / M10 aka "M": Leica digital M mount rangefinder cameras. Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history! |

Black and White of Fire
I agree, jcrutcher- the delicate flame dancing is very nice
Richard, I like the formality of your architectural picture and the bicycle shot too
Tom Diaz -the reflection(s) with the fellow holding red pen and paper reflected in granite is really nicely captured.
Maggieo- beautiful cat photos;especially your B&Ws!
Wintoid- very nice kid and rodent on couch photo
Kevin- saturation aside your capture of the lady is really compelling
Nakedcellist -I like all three
anil- #2 landscape is nicely done

Sorry, more from Design Hub RMIT. I bought the 21 4.5 Zeiss for architectural shots as it is dead straight. I do get some colour fringing although none on this shoot. The black and whites from here are all M9 JPEGs straight out of the camera, another marvel of the M9. As is totally forgetting about the camera, zone focussing and looking exclusively through the fine ZM 21 finder:

I had a nice run w/my M9 (2.5 years), but I just sold mine a couple weeks ago to fund the new M (need the improved high ISO performance). The buyer is a friend who I know will put it to good use. I'll have to rely on my D700 & X-Pro1 until January (fingers crossed). I already miss RF focusing.

I used to live right up the street at 69th St and 32nd Avenue, so I went there often and know that it's a hard place to capture. Well done!
