I don't think the US price has been announced, but it seems it's set to 1150 euro (not sure if this includes VAT).
Filter size, according to the specs posted on leicarumors, is 58mm.

Filter size is 58mm. The lens is very close to the thread rim so the filter almost touches the front element - hence the permanent hood to stop accidents. I haven't seen anything on my stuff done with the lens yet - but will pst when I obercome the jet-lag and get the film done! Feels very comfortable in the hand - looks bigger than it feels too.

Just the lens for a Bessa R4 A or M. This is the only camera with 21mm frame lines isn't it?

Wow this mated to a R4M/A would be the ultimate low cost wide angle kit. At least compared to the Leica version.

The Japanese Camera No. 18 magazine has a special section on this new lens. Results look great.
