Same here. I usually use my local lab (
photoworkssf.com), and ask them not to cut the film. Actually, I always ask them not to cut the film--a couple of times I noticed a fingerprint on the negative... and I assume that this is less likely to happen if they don't fiddle the film into the sleeves. It only happends once or twice, it's really a good lab in case you are in the SF area.
They also mount the non-panoramic slides for me, and leave the others alone (sleeved). That's nice, as it takes a lot of time to mount slides by yourself.
