Digital Leica M8 / M8.2 / M9 / M-E /Mono / M10 aka "M" Discussions about the Leica M8 /M 8.2 / M9 / M9-P/ M-E / M Monochrom / M10 aka "M": Leica digital M mount rangefinder cameras. Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history!

It seems to me the iso-pull is very usable. Well done Klaus, composition is superb, I can feel the sense of scale.

Thanks for your comment Dave. You obviously put your MM also to good use. Very strong series, intense atmosphere.

One more shot from the Christmas road trip. Taken through the windshield somewhere in upstate New York.

Just came back from our Christmas excursion to Toronto to visit family, and uploaded all the shots:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/directi...0869/lightbox/

For a few of the shots I tried out the Silver Efex Pro 2 software that came with the Monochrom. It's definitely a powerful tool, but I've also discovered that it's possible to go a bit too far with the 'Efex' (you'll probably see what I'm talking about in a couple of the shots).

Most of the other shots were processed through PhotoShop RAW, and very little was done. Think I'll be tweaking those a bit, slowly but surely.

yes, new MM. After fixing of the "vertical line and white spot" problem a few days ago.

I am still trying to figure out how to post the photo bigger...
