Well the saga continues folks. In
another recent thread I mentioned the difficulties I was having with Essex over their attempt to clean one of the lens elements in my Canon 50/1.2 lens. My issues with them were firstly that their email communications were brusque almost to the point of disinterest, and secondly that they had charged me, then later advised that they had failed to clean the marks from the lens.
Today I was checking my credit account and found that Essex has credited the charges, on the 10th. That's 8 days ago, and they have not communicated with me about that.
I appreciate the refund, which indicates they had some misgivings about charging me. They have done the right thing. However I think they still have serious issues with their business communications skills.
And I am still waiting for the return of the lens, or even for their confirmation that they have sent the lens back to me. I have received other parcels from the US during the intervening period, so I don't think postal delays are the problem.
