M6 TTL VF question

Hi all. I have a recently acquired M6 TTL which had, as a selling point, been upgraded with an MP viewfinder. Alas on receiving the camera I discovered it did not have the 75 framelines with the 50, nor the 135 with the 35. I write to Leica in NJ just to find out if this could be fixed -- if the framelines could be restored once they're not there -- but they wrote back saying they couldn't tell me anything unless I sent the camera... So, does anyone know the answer to this simple question? Is there a way to get these framelines back in a simple repair or does one need to change the VF again?

Many thanks to any who know and provide an answer.

I think the framelines is just a mask, they cover the lines on it to take away the 75 etc... I think they can just undo however they covered them, or it would need a new mask for the lines.... Not really sure though..
