http://www.ricoh.com/r_dc/download/firmware/gxr/

I just noticed this the other day, not sure if anyone has posted yet. I have not tried it yet.

I've installed it, saw it on GetDPI the other day. There was a reference to making focus peaking stand out more and in mode 2 it does indeed look to my eyes to work even better!

Oops, looks like the focus assist update was in an older firmware version. But I was two versions behind. Am going to have to setup copyright notice and like the raw only option, but the big gain from 1.51 Is the focal length and f-stop being correctly recorded in the RAW headers.

Phew, what a relief! I thought my sensor was dying when I stared seeing magenta casts.

Version 1.51 (2012. 6. 26) - "Addressed an issue in which the color of the display would sometimes change if the shutter button was pressed halfway when the view through the lens was zoomed in."

1.51 fixed a problem for me. Now, if I edit the settings in a "settings box" to record a lens name, focal length, and max aperture, that information gets written correctly into the EXIF data. Previously it did not.
