Arrow Finally SovietCamera.com.UA change.

Finally after the summer pause we've updated our site. We wanted to make it more professional and usefull for our customers. The quality of our cameras and lenses, which are being sold only after cleaning, lubricating and adjusting (CLA), is also rising day by day as is the professionalism of our repairman. We have been in business for 5 years and we know what our customers want and we want to provide that service.

Here is the small list of what we have now in stock:

1. Zorki-1+box (EX++)
2. Kiev-4+box (EX+)
3. Leningrad+box (EX++)
4. Mir+box (EX++)
5. Jupiter-12 (contax-mount) EX++
6. FT-2 (EX+)
7. Fed-2+box(red) (EX+)
8. Kiev-4AM (EX++)
9. Kiev-2+ZK lens
10. Zenit-19 (EX++)
11. Zorki-3M (EX+)
12. Lomo-135M (EX+)
13. Jupiter-9 (leica-mount) (EX++)
14. Moskwa-5+box (EX++)
15. Fed-3+box (EX++)
16. Pentacon Six TTL (EX++)
17. Tair-33B (pentacon) (MINT-)
18. Fed-Zorki (EX+)
19. Stereo Attach. for Kiev/Contax
20. Fed-3 (type a) EX++

... more interesting cameras and lenses.
And much more will be available in next several days, because we continue upgrading.

I bought a camera from you all last Spring and I was very impressed with its condition upon arrival. Two thumbs up!

Another two thumbs up. I bought my Jupiter 8 50/2 from them. It's beautiful. Pretty sharp, too.

You have a very nice looking website and I wish you much success. Would you please comment on the extent of your CLA procedure. Does your CLA include replacing the shutter curtain ribbons, springs, selenium cells, etc?

One suggestion I have is that the exterior of the camera should be cleaned as well. I would expect all dirt and stains to be removed from a camera that has been a CLA'd. Cleaning those machined grooves on Kievs can be an arduous task, but it makes a difference in my opinion and helps justify the higher price.

CLA - means Cleaning, Lubricating, Adjusting. This is what is done at least with any camera. Sure, if it needs something to be replaced to become the "work perfect" camera - it is replaced or repaired.

OK, thank you for your suggestion. Will check if this will be possible in future. In any way - Thank you!

Sure, that is understandable. There are several members of this forum who use a service in the US: http://www.zeisscamera.com/ContaxIIa/Prices.html

If you took a meterless Kiev (that typically sells for $40 on eBay) and did an overhaul like Mr. Scherer's, what would you need to sell the camera for to make it profitable?

The reason I'm asking is that several of us have expressed an interest in purchasing a Kiev that has been completely overhauled.

Vikentiy! Glad you made it to the RFF forums. I was anticipating your site's launch. I got a green FED 2 from you that was really smooth, and my Kiev 35A from a couple weeks ago should be arriving soon. Thanks sir.

Will ask my repairman about this. I found this interesting, but need to discuss this with him. Thank you for this suggestion.

Take your time and talk it over with your technician. This would be a good place to test new ideas. Welcome to RFF!
