Digital Leica M8 / M8.2 / M9 / M-E /Mono / M10 aka "M" Discussions about the Leica M8 /M 8.2 / M9 / M9-P/ M-E / M Monochrom / M10 aka "M": Leica digital M mount rangefinder cameras. Naming the new digital M the "Leica M" is VERY unfortunate as it will only confuse newbies with other Leica M cameras of the the past. Happily there is room for confusion with only the past 59 years of Leica M production ... since Leica introduced the Leica M system in 1953. All Hail for the Leica Marketing Department learning Leica M history!

At my age, the lotus position is not possible...but I can relax and chant.

Ok, went out to buy some beer and a bottle of wine to enjoy and celebrate Leica Soap Day. Guess what? I had to pay €10.10 ... if that's not a sign I don't know what is.

Unfortunately, I'm forced to agree with you.

This reminds me of a quote:

Hacker: You're a cynic, Humphrey!
Sir Humphrey: A cynic is what an idealist calls a realist.

To add more 'fuel' to the speculative fires...Sean Reid just posted "At about 3:00 PM today (EST) Reid Reviews will be publishing extensive reviews of two quite interesting new cameras (based on field and formal studio testing)"....timing is interesting.
