The crazy thing is, I bet that parts camera will sell for the price of a good user! An incomplete M3 recently sold for enough to buy a working one. Joe

Oh, yeah, I buy Leica-in-a-baggies all the time. Great fun to put back together.

I'd take it for $50. IIIcs occasionally go for $115-150... In need of work but complete. It's already too high IMHO.

Assuming that is the extent of the disassembly - hard to tell if other parts are missing, broken, state of the shutter, etc... that isn't all that bad. Hopefully they stopped before getting to the shutter.

Nothing wrong with a parts camera.... Youxin would probably like this (if the price weren't pretty high already).

I would only bid on it for parts. What's visible of the shutter is wrinkled, the top has corrosion, the vulcanite is coming off, and of course chances are it's incomplete.

Well, they went silly on it at the end. Someone is going to be putting that all back on the bay in individual auctions with the smallest parts going for over $20 each. They'll get their $188.60 back, and then some, but it may take them awhile.
