Great idea, just had a look at the entry. I find the font very hard to read, but I really like the list with comments and links.

Well done dct!
I missed out on quite a few of the cards. It is good to see them all at last.
Cheers

I have got ten cards so far. Thank you all.
I cut my own path and put the card into an envelope (postage is the same, anyway). I hope you don't mind. I worried about fingerprints, dents, raindrops etc. Most of the cards I received have at least minor damages.

At the end I missed three or four cards, but that's 10 % of the whole project, I think it is a good outcome. As you can see in the single blog entries many details are still missing from a few authors (image story explanations, used body & lens combinations etc...). There were also cards where I saw the real name but didn't manage to link back to the correct RFF user ID.
But I think we should keep this discussion (and information feedback, if any) back in the old thread.

If people have not written down on their cards the information on image and camera and lens ... etc., maybe we can have people upload that image here, and explain the story behind that image.

During the first go around it was requested that folks not upload any postcard images until after the last person had mailed and enough time was given for everyone to receive the cards.
One of the best things about the project is to come home and find a postcard and the image is a nice surprise. Getting the image and story ahead of time would certainly reduce the fun and anticipation of what is still to come in the mail.

Correct. That's exactly the thrill of projects like this! You never know what you will get in the mail tomorrow. Of course, after the mailing wave has finished we should upload the images (and stories behind it) here in this thread again, but not before.
@Raid: It was done by many of the contributors in the former project thread. Everyone left out from the 1st project should feel free to add the information on his image appending to that thread.

A nice card from Helen arrived today all the way from Australia. Which is rather strange, considering that the Dutch mail doesn't work on Sundays
thanks

The last project began with a post on November 22nd with a request that the postcards get mailed beginning in January 2012. Rob had sent out an email on February 8th giving the go ahead to post images of what we had sent in the mail.
It would be great if we followed this same path since we still have members who have not mailed their postcards as of this time.
Perhaps Rob can make the call one more time when the uploading of images can begin. I would imagine sometime in July would be the earliest.

lol. I had a friend at highschool who played the guitar (well..kind of) and was crazy about these kind of 'country roads' style songs. So HE made it stuck in my head. In fact i might have never heard it in original...

mgchan thanks for the kind words. I was hoping people would get a kick out of my card. It took me quite a while to come up with an image/medium that would work well for using both sides of the card.

I just picked up another 3 cards this morning, taking my count to 9. I have postcards from Ted, Frank, Micheal, Jim, Keith, Harry, Jeremy, John and Lynn. Great variety of subject matter.

Alas my post box was empty today - so far only 7 cards received, from
Frank,
Michael in NY,
Harry,
John C,
Helen,
Keith, and
Dan (arrived Friday - thanks Dan!)
Maybe some more will arrive tomorrow... (sigh)

I hit the jackpot today: seven cards at once! (16 so far)
Looking at the images, I feel a little bit shabby with my choice (which has not even arrived from the print service, yet). Some really lovely shoots.

One of the interesting and fun side affects...
Just came back from the post office where I sent out the last batch of cards so now it's just waiting on the mail to arrive.
Here in the US with all of the new social connections via the Net causing the decline of US postal volumes (mostly we get advertisements) it's interesting that this is the first time in years that I'm actually excited to check the mail box, daily. Even my wife eagerly awaits the new arrivals.
Thanks to everyone for the fun.

I posted my cards yesterday. I hope they all arrive at your homes in good shape and with not too many postal marks on them (like last year)! :-)

Yes, you have to be ready for the moment when you count up the cards and realize that all 57 have arrived and that you now have to wait for Rob to make his appearance again a year from now.
But you can stretch out this period of 'wonderment' by spending the next month or more going back over the cards, studying them, and thinking about the worlds they represent. Maybe even strike up a related 'pen-pal' relationship or two with your fellow postcarders.
