I will try to mail out all cards on Tuesday. I need to print out the addresses on Monday, followed by a trip to the post office on Tuesday.

I got 2 more today - up to 18 now
These were from Australia & Germany, both with Seaside themes
one of our postal systems decided to paste a bar-code on the bottom of one - not photo enthusiasts clearly.
I'm in awe of the results - you all are amazing photographers
MOO has mine coming June 22, can't wait

I just hate the Dutch Post. One week after ordering my special stamps, still no sight of them So please be patient with me... enjoying the incoming cards a lot! Thanks all.

My AU card, from Helen I believe, also had the sticker with barcode on the front. I was going to peel it off but it gives it a little charm, a remnant from the journey

Must we get special stamps?
Is this one of the prerequisites for this project?
So I need to request at the post office pretty stamps then?
I have received 12 cards so far.

No, but the standard ones are so boring... whereas there are special editions for the same price that make the card just that tad prettier. Do whatever you please

Not mine its special Oh this is so much fun and if you look close you will notice a slight miss-registration on the border making it a windfall collectable.Collectors will be hounding you to get this stamp because only 60 where issued and the plates have been destroyed

So here's a true story - I saw the "Aloha" stamps online, and went to the post office, and asked them if they had special stamps in postcard denominations. They checked and came back and said no, just one style for each denomination I needed (.29, .85, 1.09) and it turned out that the .29 "regular" ones were the Aloha ones.
Took me quite some time to figure out which color to use on each individual's card though...

I used to say that of all the things the US has given the world, at least our music was OK...maybe I won't take that view anymore. I just hope you don't get that song stuck in your head, Pherdinand!
3 more today, excellent photos all!

Three more excellent ones, from Helen (Australia), Jason (Allendale) and Rich (Bolton). I must say, Jason's back of the card is the most creative one I've received so far. For me, that ups the ante for Round 3!

I've got an idea for Round 3....
a self-portrait of yourself showing something you are interested in or do.

I'm sure every nation has it's Songs One Is Required To Hate. It amuses me when someone manages to convert a SOIRTH to a SOIATL viz, Toots & The Maytalls version of that one.
I've now ordered my stamps. I've decided to inflict on our overseas friends multiple copies of the same Hawaiian shirts that almost everyone in the U.S. is sending to almost everyone else in the U.S (thus avoiding Lancaster County). I bit the bullet and paid the extra few cents to use ordinary first class postage for all the U.S. cards just so as to avoid those same Hawaiian shirts here. The $.85 folks will just be getting $.85 stamps.

Just got my cards in the mail - $35 postage, not bad at all. For those of you who hate the post office (probably not many on this forum), consider how much that would cost via FedEx!
With the Ilford postcards (and a probably less than a dollar in chemicals) this has been easily under $100 - and priceless for sharing community and love of photography.
Now that my conscience is clear, I can better enjoy the cards I have received.
