Optics and Lenses - This forum is aimed towards the TECHNICAL side of photographic OPTICS and LENSES. There will be some overlap by camera/manufacturer, but this forum is for the heavy duty tech discussions. This is NOT the place to discuss a specific lens or lens line, do that in the appropriate forum. This is the forum to discuss optics or lenses in general, to learn about the tech behind the lenses and images. IF you have a question about a specific lens, post it in the forum about that type of camera, NOT HERE.

Hello,

Does this rear element look as if it can be cleaned up with a CLA?

Thank you

Clean, Lube, Adjust
* I understand, this isn't part of CLA you might be referring to, but . . .

- I was hoping for feedback from members that have sent off a lens for a CLA and have had experience with such defect in the process.

Are the flaws inside the lens or on the surface of the rear element?

^ Thank you for the posts/feedback. I don't have this, but makes my decision easier.

This was actually a lens I was eyeing, but I think I'll pass on it.

Once the cost of the lens and any service costs are added I might as well buy something in better condition from the get go.
