disassembling cron-c

Hey all,

I've got a Summicron-c that's rather stiff in its focusing, so I was hoping to clean and re-grease it. I've found myself a spanner wrench, but as this is my first attempt at disassembling lenses, I'm not being very successful yet - it seems stuck. I've got two questions:
1) which way do I rotate the retaining ring around the back element? I'd assume I'd have to rotate the wrench counter-clockwise, but it wouldn't be the first time I'd only tighten things up even more.
2) is there a way to loosen this ring up? (carefully heat it maybe?)

Any other advice is appreciated as well

Best, urje

1 - Counterclockwise for opening.
2 - A couple drops of Acetol/ Nail Polish remover surrounding the retainer ring and wait for 10-15 mins should do the trick. Cheers.
