Fujifilm XP1?

who else is EMBARRASSED saying, "oh, this is a X-Pro1"? Like, isn't this more then a little bit presumptuous?

I'm calling mine an XP1 from now on.

Do you like this silly X-Pro1 model designation?

Let's vote and petition Fuji to change the name and issue top plate replacements with the new name! Yay crowd(re)naming!

ok gang, who's with me?

I approve of the name change. I have thought there was something a little odd about the name. XP1 would be pretty good. Or, how about X1000? You know, a power of ten relationship among the models: X10, X100, X1000.

Ha, I voted no. Why? "I am pro (argh) and I use the X-Pro!" makes a nice slogan ;-). Instead of renaming, Fuji should add an easily to be done x-processing simulation mode. More benefit than just renaming. We will see by the possible endorsement, if the camera stands up to its name.

Go for it!

I like it far better than the suggestion from a while back - "Hy-Finder" (Ouch!)

Yeah, rename it.
Except XP1 might be taken...
'Cause when they bring out the next version it's gonna be the XP2 perhaps.
And we know who owns those.

Fuji already has the "Big Job" why can't they name their digitals some cutesey-*** names like those?

I'm fine with either way, though I do agree it's a bit cheesy name. I have Text4Me app on my mac to swap "xpro1" to X-Pro1.

what i think is silly is that you are worried about the name of your camera. life is difficult for some people, i know.

From a marketing perspective it's pretty crappy as far as names go. XP1 would have been a lot more straightforward and easier to market.

Hey, they march to the beat of a different drummer...not all bad, look at the unique cameras they're turning out

I don't like the name, just because it's so forgettable. XP1 is probably better, or anything a little less generic.

I love the name! Furthermore, I'm going to mount a Leica red dot on the front, so that along with the X-Pro 1 name on top, I can exude more of my professional awesomeness to the unwashed masses!

X-Bro1.

I initially had problem remembering the name as there were several other confusing names out there just announced then. GX1, G1X, X1, XZ1, X-Pro1. And because The previous Fuji X series were X10 and X100, I thought this was one X1 Pro.

So those who sell the camera after they discover it's not for them (happens occasionally I've noticed! ) will be:

Ex X-pro owners!

It IS a pain, as the correct name is difficult to recall exactly, and that screws up searches.
Is it Fuji Pro-x1 ?, x1-Pro ? Fujifilm Prox-1, etc,etc.
