thanks I had sold my black 12mm Heliar in a cash raising frenzy to try and get an M9 on my January trip, but I decided to hold back... an regretted having sold it badly. ended up getting another 12mm, this time a chrome one. fantastic match for the R-D1 along with a 35mm, this set will handle any scenes.

Truthfully, I was thinking this: Your style of photography stays with the image no matter what camera you use Helen.

An update to the RD-1 arrival.

I've been away for three days but did take the time to ring my local post office yesterday ... the Epson is now there waiting for me though according to the on line tracking information it's still sitting in customs at point of entry waiting for clearance. It really makes you wonder if getting an item sent EMS is worth the trouble if Australia Post don't fulfull their obligations at this end by continuing to scan the documentation each time the parcel changes locations so the tracking info is updated. They just haven't bothered obviously since it's initial arrival in the country ten days ago ... which is pretty shoddy when you've paid forty six dollars for a trackable service from another country.

Enough about Australia Post ... I despise them!

I will have the RD-1 tomorrow ... that is good news!
