relube a Hexanon-M 50mm

The only thing I dislike about the Hexanons (except the 35mm), is the stiffness of focus ring.
My 50mm is quickly becoming too hard to focus and I would like to replace the grease.
Any idea on how to reach the helicals?
removing the bayonet is a piece of cake, but beyond that...I see several slots, some really stuck, and I don't want to force anything.

try a drop or two of gun oil or synthetic motor oil on the edge of the focusing ring. work the focus to let it bed in and let it sit overnight. often this will reinvigorate the grease.
