x-pro1 Japanese samples

x-pro1

Love the fuji color. First set of photos I've seen that I would consider to be decent photos (on the photographers behalf) from the x-pro1, and that 18mm looks bitingly sharp corner to corner.

Me too.

This line, which wasn't translated, means: "This 'color' is precisely the biggest attraction from Fuji."

Thankyou for that tidbit.

Here's the original link with the japanese text if anyone wants to read through it and pull out any more interesting points:

The photos with the 18 mm lens are the best examples I've seen to date.

Yep. In one of the polish press days, fujifilm told someone that the 18mm had gone through quite a few prototype and sample phases, and that the final production version was quite a bit different to the samples they had on hand.

I have no doubt it'll be a stonking lens - will be interesting to see real world stuff pop up with it in the next few days.
