Brian made me a Contax mount 5cm 3.5 rigid Tessar!

I will tonight try to post some photos of the lens. I received it yesterday in the mail. It is a CZJ 5cm 3.5 Tessar T (rigid), mounted in a Contax lens barrel.

The old Contax lenses for the Contax I had a 2.8 Tessar collapsible, followed by a collectible (sharp) 5cm 3.5 collapsible Tessar, which differs from the lens that I now have.

The lens has a blue coating, so it is coated. I will find a suitable lens hood for it and will use this lens next weekend. Brian shimmed the lens for Contax cameras. He has one like it in Nikon S mount, and shimmed accordingly.

I will keep you posted.

Here is what Brian has posted on his lens: http://www.mu-43.com/gallery/g1591-c...r-s-mount.html

I hope so. I already have the older version 5cm 2.8 Tessar (for the second time), and this would be a newer Tessar 5cm lens. I also have a 5cm Tessar 2.8 (for the M42 cameras) that I bought from someone in Italy as adapted to LTM with beautiful custom machining. The new one is of course a Brain adaptation by placing the opicas into a lens barrel.

I need to find out a suitable lens hood for it.

Thank you, guys. I love such toys. Brian is a friend, regardless whether he is on RFF or not. I will use this lens this weekend.

I may do a basic lens comparison of my 50mm tessar RF lenses. I have a Tessar 2.8 for the Contax and a 5cm 2.8 for the M42 but afpted to RF, plus this new lens which is 5cm 3.5T.
