Ditto, Raid Just pass along our good wishes. With all the help and advice he passed out so freely, I know that no one here wants to presser, him not one bit.

Latest contribution by Brian:
http://www.seriouscompacts.com/f96/s...stances-10935/
Brian modified the spacing of the optics in a Summarit to be used wide open at all distances. His experience with several Summarit lenses has been that they do not focus at the closest distance unless with f 2.8.

I really miss seeing Brian's posts and photos. I'd love to have the benefit of hearing more minutia about Sonnar lenses. I'm discovering what I can on my own. Very interesting journey, but no one to talk about it with... *sigh*

No idea who this guy is. However, if he used to be a regular guy here, I bet you my left testicle that he still lurks around here - either as a non-signed-in guest or under a different alias.
Why did he leave? Was he kicked out? Had a run in with the big boys here? Or did he just get bored? Hopefully, I'll get an answer from him soon via the PM system

He is a very nice guy. Very intelligent, honest to deal with, and a real authority on older lenses, particular Zeiss Sonnars and Russian Jupiter lenses.

Brian was a real asset here and a really nice guy to deal with. I was lucky enough to have purchased a number of his modified and back hacked lenses and they are the best! Raid please give him my best.

Raid, I haven't seen Brian on any of the sites in a few months now, and my email address for him no longer functions. Hope everything is okay and he's doing well.
