just figured out my x100 has the filter adapter
that goes with the hood. i've been so interested in getting photos, i had not stopped to wonder why it has that snappy hood. anyway, the cam is MUCH thinner without the hood and adapter, actual coat pocket tote-able. i will get a 49mm UV or clear glass filter today for lens protection and occasional coat-pocket flatness. i do not intend to pocket tote it without filter/cap ...
