The Doll House #63
I'm finally getting the rest of the photographs from the Doll House scanned. The sticker on the piece of wood next to the doll says; "Love makes the world go round."

I really like everything about this photo: content, composition, processing (although, imo, the highlights could get a bit more pop, and the midtones a slight lift).

Both are good, the photo and the words on the sticker. I like it. As Paul's suggestion, please think about the book!

I am thinking of doing a book, after I finish scanning the rest of the negatives and putting the full project together

Great work, Chris!
The tones are lovely. Very textural.

Chris,
It's mildly creepy & very well done. Nice work! I have an ex who had an extreme phobia about headless dolls (she was a pre-school teacher...lol). Some people really have a time with this.
Best regards,
Bob

I've had a lot of people email me to say they had a fear of dolls (all dolls, not just headless dolls)!

Thanks Helen! Here's #66
I've reordered the photos, because I found this one that should have been #66, so the previous 66 and 67 have been pushed up to 67 and 68. This is where I found the Black Cabbage Patch Doll and a photograph of a baby in the house.
The photo of a baby visible on the left hand side of this image had a handwritten note on the back that said the baby was 9 month old Jessica Rose Shuster, whose portrait was made on November 22, 1993. I photographed this in February, 2010. Jessica would have been about 17 years old. I wonder why her baby picture was left here?

#68.
The book that Santa Claus is reading to the dolls is entitled: "The Christmas Santa Almost Missed." I found the book in the house. There were a bunch of Christmas themed children's books in the house, including: "Baby's First Christmas", "The Cat Who Learned the True Meaning of Christmas", "The Night Before Christmas."
Several of the dolls were Christmas related. In addition to Santa, there was the teddy bear with a gift (shown in this photo), a snowman, and a mouse with a santa hat.
