28mm 1.9 focus lever

I've lurked on this forum for about 6 months and found it really useful when I was trying to decide whether to get a Bessa R2a.
Hopefully someone can help me with this. I've lost the focusing lever for my 28mm 1.9 and can't find a replacement anywhere. If anyone knows where I can buy one or has any suggestions on what I could use as a replacement I'd be really grateful.
I've checked with Sangers etc and have had no luck.
Thanks

I'm sure there are many people in this forum who have a 28/1.9 and don't even use the focusing lever...

Hi Maria, have you emailed Stephen Gandy at Camerquest?

http://www.cameraquest.com/

I am almost positive that somewhere on his site I saw mention that he has replacements availble, for sale of course.

I tend to agree with Vincent though, I wouldn't be surprised if one turns up here for you.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did email him and he doesn't stock them. In fact no-one seems to.

I saw them somewhere.....

I suggest you post the same question on the Leica Forum at Photo.net, or join Stephen Gandy's CVUG and ask that group. I happen to like the focusing tab and use it regularly (until I loose it and need to ask the same question) but I am sure someone isn't using theirs.

Due to popular demand, CameraQuest now stocks Voigtlander 28/1.9 focusing posts. $15 including shipping.

CameraQuest no longer stocks these, but I'm wondering if anyone out there that has one that they would be willing to part with?

Thanks a bunch.

I'd look for a small allen-head bolt, something like this.

If you have a specialist fasteners retailer in your town they should be able to help you. Not as pretty as the original but totally functional.
