XA Viewfinder and Spectacles

The title says it all really. I'm thinking of buying an XA to replace my ailing Minox EL and I was wondering how the viewfinder works with spectacles. I can see the frame lines in the Minox without any problem but can't see the 35mm frame in my 0.72 M6 without moving my eye around. How does the XA compare?

I usually wear contacts, so it's not an issue, but I just put on my glasses and checked.. it's fine for me. The frame lines are completely visible.. didn't even move my eye around.

I can just see the outlines with my glasses on, so not a problem really. The framelines are almost on the edges of the viewfinder anyway. Enjoy that little beauty I'd say.

With glasses, I have to move my eye slightly, to see the shutter speeds. Otherwise, OK.

Resurrecting an old thread here but...

I too wear spectacles and have trouble using the viewfinder on my XA. After focussing, I sometimes need to perch my specs precariously on the top of my head while composing the shot.

Just got some rolls back from the lab, and I noticed that many of the shots seem to have a lot of space on the lefthand side. I recall composing on the assumption that the area obscured in the viewfinder by the shutter speed display wouldn't be in the shot. But I'm now thinking that perhaps I was wrong and I need to compose accordingly.

Does anyone with an XA have a view on this?!

I have 2 xa's and wear glasses everyday. my prescription is bad, doctors have a habit of telling me I am the strongest prescription they have ever seen, but back to the question.
I honestly have no problem seeing the framelines. I usually have the camera pressed to my glasses.

As for the shutter speed display I just always include that area in my shot. better safe than sorry.
