Actually, I did suggest photographic...
But I've just noticed another smell that is very photographic indeed: the smell of the old Vulcanite on my 1936 IIIa when it gets warm. I just had this lovely image of RFF members assiduously sniffing their gear... Cheers, R.

Oh, we're pretty versatile on RFF. Most of us can probably sniff and boggle at the same time!
The thread originated, as I say, with hot lights (and as another said, roast flies) but when I picked up the IIIa, the image of people sniffing just came to me... Cheers, R.
