Film Choice?

Just a couple of questions - for general outdoor work w/few people, mostly landscapes w/some street shots - do you prefer Velvia 100 or Provia 100 & why? Next question - snarkiness aside, has anypne tried any of the Chinese 35mm color films? I'm using Shanghai 100 B&W in my 4x5 & like it, so..
Thanks for any input.

I haven't done it in a while but when I was shooting a bunch of outdoors stuff (mostly landscapes) I was using Velvia 50...Why?? I love the colors...I learned years ago that when I shoot with color film I need to make sure there's color in the scene...it sounds silly to say but I remember the first rolls of slide film I shot & developed were flat and boring...I thought I did something wrong in the developing...I was used to B&W and wasn't looking for bright colors...the next rolls were much better...
Velvia gives me those nice, bright colors...(I hear a song coming up)
I haven't used any of the Chinese or European films but would be open to trying some in my 4x5...
