Adapter to use M mount on Nikon 1

I hear there is going to be adapters to use M mount lenses on this camera. Third Party Manufacturer.
Same as the Micro 4/3 Cameras...

Nikon has promised the FT-1 Adapter to us Nikon nuts:


2.7X would makes nice Telephoto with a 500mm lens!

Several adapters on ebay right now. Leica M and Nikon F.... (In addition to the real Nikon FT adapter - also available now. The Nikon adapter allows AF with AF-S lenses.)

Isn't it true that the Nikon 1 does not shoot without a Nikon AF lens attached?

Apparently not, Kent. At least one guy on Flickr is putting up photos with adapted lenses. I know you need an AF-S lens to get autofocus with the FT-1 and it's only single point. And (AFAIK) there is no manual focus assist, yet.

The venerable Elgeet 12mm/f1.2 cine navitar delivers an interesting rendering.
