If you want to use a lens cap I have found that you can generally buy one (Tamaron are good for this) that will clip to the installed hood. I do this with some of my Leica lenses and it works well.

Yep, just bend the slits so that the hood fits tighter. Mine is perfect like this, and no glue or gaffer tape required.

I gorilla-glued my clone hood. It was $20, I didn't mind unscrewing the whole thing the few times I wanted to take the hood off.

The half case (comes with attachable top) is a chinese knockoff but looks nice and feels great. Only cost me $20

The soft release I found on an old SLR at a thrift shop. Feels/looks great on the Fuji.

Lens Hood is official

Now all I need is a Thumbs Up :P
