Hi all. I'm about to get my first Leica I plan on going to Munich next month and would be really helpful if someone can help me a little bit. I've no idea where to go there and what price to expect to pay. I'm looking for M2, but M4 ( -2,p ) would be ok too. I'm not looking for a mint one, neither really beat one. Something in the middle I know about the store in Vienna, so i may go there too, but would like to stay in Munich. So, any info would be appreciate. Thx
Foto Sauter mentioned above (opposite the Sendlinger Tor) has a decent used section, with reasonable prices for Leica gear. They give a one year dealer warranty on many of their used items. I've bought there before.
There are also a few used camera dealers in the same area (near the train station) that sometimes carry Leica gear.
I can recommend Foto-Sauter as well. I bought an M2 there a couple of years ago in good shape for under 400 Euros and I´ve had no problems with it (apart from some of the leatherette falling off - cosmetics only and my fault). They usually have a small selection of second-hand Leica M cameras. Those marked "Gelegenheit" have a one-year warrenty. Those labelled "Vermittlung" are being sold for a client and they usually allow a two-week return period.
